We are thrilled to announce that Tohatchi High School has emerged as one of the winners of the 2024 New Mexico Governor’s STEM Challenge! ππ
To our dedicated students, co-coaches Ms. Nancy Dela Cruz and Ms. Fe Poblete Quiambao, supportive administration and community members, our hard work and commitment have truly paid off.
We are incredibly proud of the outstanding achievement and the impact of the innovative project of our students: “Corn Stovers Water Filtration System”.
Special thanks to the National Radio Astronomy Observatory for their sponsorship and recognition of the remarkable work from the Tohatchi High School students.

Advisory School Council Nominations
Our school is in the process of establishing an Advisory School Council (ASC) for the 2023-2024 school year. The Advisory School Council is composed of 2 parent representatives, 2 community members, and 1 District Parent Advisory Committee representative. The purpose of the ASC is to work with the school principal and give advice, consistent with state and school district rules and policies, on policies relating to instructional issues and curricula and on the public schoolβs proposed and actual budgets. In addition, the committee works in collaboration with the school to develop creative ways to involve parents in the school.
Our school is accepting nominations 2 ASC Parent positions, 2 ASC Community Members, and 1 District Parent Advisory Committee (DPAC) representative (The DPAC must be a parent or legal guardian of a Native American student). If you would be interested in nominating a parent or yourself, please complete the appropriate nomination form below and return it to front office.
